South Bay Appliance, originally located in Manhattan Beach, California; has served the South Bay area for over 50 years. As a full service appliance company, we sell all major brands of household appliances, provide in-home service and sell parts for all brands of appliances. In 1988, Spears Appliance, a family owned and operated business in Gardena, California; merged with South Bay Appliance to expand our services to the South Bay, Long Beach, and surrounding LA areas. The relocation of the South Bay Appliance store to our Gardena showroom, allowed us to add many brands and models to our in-store display. Today, we feature over 25 major brands of appliances, and we are factory authorized for sales and service on all of the brands that we sell. The Spears family’s reputation for providing goods and services originally began in the mid-1800’s, with a general store located in Morrison, Illinois; D.P. Spears and Sons. Spears Appliance is a family owned company that has been serving the South Bay Area since 1929. It was started by a local businessman, Don Spears, was succeeded by his son, Tom Spears, and is currently is owned and operated by his grandson, David Spears. The goal of the Spears family is to provide the local community a customer friendly place to purchase new appliances, provide parts for all brands of appliances, and to have qualified factory trained technicians to service these appliances.
